Troubleshooting ScanMarker Login & Account Issues
If you are having trouble logging into your ScanMarker account, or if you are trying to access the web app for the first time, this guide will help you get back on track.
1. Verify Your Login Method
ScanMarker allows you to log in using a few different methods. Make sure you are using the same method you used when you first registered:
Email & Password: Double-check for typos in your email address and ensure your Caps Lock is turned off.
Third-Party Sign-In: If you initially signed up using Google, Apple, or Clever, click the corresponding button at the bottom of the login box instead of typing in a password.
2. Forgot Your Password?
If you can't remember your password, you can reset it in a few quick steps:
Click the Forgot password? link right above the orange "Continue" button.
Enter the email address associated with your account.
Check your inbox for a password reset link.
Tip: If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your Spam or Junk folders.
3. Don't Have an Account Yet?
If you are a new user, typing your credentials into the login box won't work until your account is created.
Click the Register link at the bottom of the box to set up your new account.
If your school uses Clever, make sure to click "Continue with Clever" to automatically link your school profile.
4. Browser & Connection Issues
If the page isn't loading correctly or the "Continue" button seems unresponsive:
Clear Cache: Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, or open the page in an Incognito/Private window.
Disable Extensions: Some ad-blockers or privacy extensions can interfere with login pages. Try temporarily disabling them.

Wake Up the Pen: If the pen has gone into sleep mode, press the tip down gently on a surface for a second to wake it up.
