Congratulations on choosing the Scanmarker Exam Pen for your exam preparation needs! This manual covers the essential instructions for using the pen's scanning, reading, and translation features effectively.

The Scanmarker Exam has 3 functions : Read, Translate and Speak.

This device does not have  internal functions for storage capacity .

 Scan Window
The scan window is where you place the Scanmarker Exam Pen to scan text. Follow these steps for optimal scanning:
- Hold your scanner at a 45-80 degree angle.
- Align the scanning start and stop points with the edge of the transparent window.
- Begin moving the pen straight along the text line at a steady pace, avoiding stops and rotations.
- Keep the text line centered between the two white nibs at the front end of the pen.

Power Button and Charging Port
- To power on/off the Scanmarker Exam Pen, press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds.
- If the display does not light up, charge the battery for approximately 30 minutes and then attempt again.
- The charging port is used for recharging the pen's battery.

Getting Started
- Scan one line of text by aligning it with the scan window and moving the pen steadily.
- Access main functions such as scanning live text and reading it aloud.

 Reading Functions
- The Scanmarker Exam Pen can scan text and read it aloud sentence by sentence or by selected word.
- Reading supports multiple languages offline (English, Spanish, Italian, French, German) and up to 50 languages when connected to Wi-Fi.

- You can customize settings to append or replace scanned text during reading.

 Translation Functions
- The pen can scan text and translate offline in 5 languages and online in 101 languages.
- You have the option to listen to the original scan or the translated text.

 Settings
- Adjust settings for reading volume, reading speed, multiline scanning, and pen hand holding direction.
- Connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless earbud connectivity.
- Customize brightness, date and time settings, standby time, automatic shutdown, and interface language.
- Access software updates, version information, and restore settings if needed.

 Reset and Restart
- To restart the pen, long-press the power button for 3 seconds, then select the "reset" icon on the screen.
- To perform a reset, press the power button for 10 seconds.

 Connect to Wi-Fi
- Access Settings > Wi-Fi on the pen and enable Wi-Fi.
- Select the appropriate Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Once connected, a Wi-Fi icon will appear in the top right corner.
- Many pen functions require an online connection, so ensure Wi-Fi is connected before use.
- The pen will automatically reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network for subsequent uses.
