Note: To scan to a word document you will need to download the desktop software . This software is available for windows or mac operatives systems for the Scanmarker Air/Reader/USB models.
The desktop software can be access via our address app.scanmarker.com where is the online editor web based software.
To start using this feature after you signup to the web based software follow the steps below:
Locate the scan to external icon which is represented by a group of icons word/excel/ppt/email and follow the on screen instructions to install.
After download the desktop software for scan 2external document according to your operating system windows or mac
Once downloaded follow the on screen instructions to install .
- After installation be sure to connect your pen reader.
- If the pen is not connected the icon will be gray.
- When the pen is connected the icon will turn orange.

In order to scan to your document, click on the desktop app the 'document' icon on the orange widget and place your cursor in the application you would like to scan to.
The selected scanning mode will change colour and appear in white.
Note:
- When scanning to a document, the default setting is that it automatically adds a space after each scan and then continues the following scan on the same line.
- If you would like the following scan to be placed on a new line, click the scanner down at the end of the scan.
- You can change these default settings by clicking on the settings icon> Settings… > Scanning
Scanning to any editor such as : word, excel, power point, Evernote, google doc, google sheet, google slides.
