Do I Need an Activation Code? (No — Here's What Changed)

Good news: activation codes are no longer required. On all current software versions you can start using your Scanmarker without entering any code.

If the software you're using asks you for an activation code, you're on an old version. Two ways to fix that:

Option 1 — use the web app (no download needed)

Open app.scanmarker.com in Chrome. That's the full Scanmarker experience directly in the browser — nothing to install, no code to enter, and new features arrive there first.

Option 2 — update the desktop app

Download the latest version from scanmarker.com/services and install it over your current copy. Current versions do not ask for an activation code.

Lost your activation code?

You don't need it anymore — just update using either option above and the prompt disappears.
