Scanmarker is available across multiple platforms for maximum flexibility and convenience.
You can use itas following:
1.Web-based platform
2.Mobile devices via the iOS and Android apps.
3 .For desktop users, the software supports both Mac and Windows operating systems. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality—such as scanning directly into Word or other third-party applications—is available exclusively through the desktop software.

We recommend charging the Scanmarker Air for 3 hours before using it for the first time.
Charge your Scanmarker Air using the included USB cable connected to your computer.
Powering On Your Scanmarker
Press and hold the clear tip of the scanner against a surface for 3 seconds. Both the green and blue indicator lights will turn on.

Green Light – Battery Status:

Solid green: Fully charged

Flashing slowly: Charging

Flashing rapidly: Low battery – needs to be recharged

Blue Light – Bluetooth Status:
-
Flashing: Scanner is powered on and searching for a connection

Solid blue: Successfully connected to a device

To connect your Scanmarker via Bluetooth, please use the Scanmarker app directly—do not connect through your computer’s Bluetooth settings, even if Bluetooth is already enabled.
The pairing process is handled within the app to ensure proper communication between the scanner and software.
To Turn Off Your Scanmarker Air:

Manual Shutdown:
Tap the tip quickly and gently three (3) times against a surface to power off the device. -
Auto Power-Off:
-
The scanner will automatically turn off after 12 minutes of inactivity

Or after 2 minutes if not connected to any device

We’ve recently migrated to a new web-based platform, which means there's no need to install software . Everything is now accessible directly through your browser—making setup faster and easier.
To get started:

Go to https://app.scanmarker.com in a chrome or edge browser

Connect your Scanmarker to your computer using a USB cable or bluetooth

The software will automatically detect your device and guide you through activation
Note: An internet connection is required when using Scanmarker Air with certain features, especially online translation and cloud services.

2.Connecting with mobile devices via the iOS and Android apps.
For Android devices:
You can either download the Scanmarker app for Android from the Google Play Store, or access the web-based version using a Chrome browser by visiting app.scanmarker.com.

For iOS devices, Scanmarker works exclusively through the mobile app, available for iPhones and iPads. The web-based version is not supported on iOS browsers. Please download the app directly from the App Store to get started.

Search for the "Scanmarker Air" app on the App Store or / Google Play and download it to your device.
*Ensure your mobile device has Bluetooth turned on
CONNECTING YOUR SCANMARKER AIR WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE
● Turn on Scanmarker Air.
● Open the Scanmarker AIR on your mobile app. Register/Login and connect your scanner.
● Tap the name of your scanner when it appears in the Select Scanner message.
● You should see a message that the scanner has successfully connected.
*Troubleshooting Tip:
● If the blue light is on and steady and you are not connecting to your device, please check if you
are connecting to another previously paired device (such as a computer).
● Please close the Scanmarker application on the other device and try again
QUICK SETUP - Tutorial
When you launch the app for the first time, you will be presented with a quick setup
option. (You can always change these settings later by selecting the icon in the bottom
right corner of each screen)
MAIN SCREEN
● After completing the scanning practice, the main screen appears. After connecting
for the first time, this screen will always appear whenever you launch the app and
reconnect Scanmarker Air.
● A list of all saved documents will be displayed here.
● Tap the icon + (New on iPhone) to start a new document.
● Documents are saved as text files and can be shared. The options you see for
sharing are related to apps installed on your device. Tap Share in the document
options.
SCANNING TIPS
● Hold your scanner at a 30- 60 degree angle
● Place the transparent tip of the scanner slightly before the start of the line to be
scanned, and end the scanning motion after the end of the line.
● Make sure the text you want to scan is centered in the tip when you start scanning
(Scanmarker will keep following the first line it originally detected).
● Scans in a smooth and quick motion.
● Avoid applying excessive pressure whilst scanning.
● Practice scanning on the Test Device Screen until you are satisfied with the results.
● When scanning multiple lines of text, there is no need to wait for the first line to
appear on the screen before scanning the next line.

REGISTER
When you enter the application for the first time, you will need to sign up and create an
account.

After signing up with your email address and password, we will send you a confirmation
email.
After confirming your email, you can sign in to the Scanmarker application using your
chosen email and password.
Signing in is only required the first time you use the application on a new device.
