Need to connect your Scanmarker Reader to a computer using Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that makes it easy to connect devices and transfer data between them. Most PCs and almost all phones have Bluetooth capabilities. The standard is fast, reliable, and battery-efficient.
If you haven't used it much in the past, you're missing out. Let's see how to connect your Scanmarker with your Windows PC using Bluetooth.
1. Enable Bluetooth on your computer :
Most modern Windows laptops have Bluetooth built-in, but not all desktops do. If you're not sure, you can check whether your computer has Bluetooth. If your computer doesn't already support the feature, you can add Bluetooth to your PC with an adapter to get it working easily.
On Windows 10, visit Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. If the Bluetooth slider at the top is off, turn it ON.
2. Sign Up with Scanmarker Reader
Go to Scanmarker address by opening a chrome browser .
Fill in the required information such as name, email address and password. 3. Select "Sign Up" and wait for an email confirmation with a link.
Click on the link from your email to verify your account.
Log in using the email and password chosen during sign up process.
3. Connect your Scanmarker Reader
Select the appropriate connection option yo connect your scanner with you computer, such as "USB Cable", 'Bluetooth dongle" or " Bluetooth" or "Wi-Fi."
* Plug in Scanmarker provided cable if connecting with USB cable.
* If choosing 'Bluetooth dongle" insert the dongle on the computer USB port
* If selected Bluetooth you will see the following message and screen instructions to pair the Scanmarker device with your computer.
Next you will notice a pop up screen showing the available scanners to connect with a series number. Select the series and press the Pair button.
If you dont see a scanner series number , please check if your Scanmarker scanner has the 2 lights on (green steady and blue blinking).
Once connected a message will pop up : You're successfully connected
Next step is to define which hand will you use for scanning?
Knowing which hand you will scan with ensures optimal results .Please choose left hand scanning or right hand scanning .
The next step for your scanning process is to define the language of scanning the text. This option can be changed also later on based on your scanning needs.
After selecting a language, click next to move to the next page. Your scanning software is now configured to use the desired language of scanning.
A tutorial video will be automatically start showing you the usage of Scanmarker to help you get the most of your reading process. The video will walk you through on the scanning motion and the position of the tip of the scanner in the text. Click and slide :).
After the video an onboarding process will walk you through all the buttons of Scanmarker Platform.
You are ready to Scan now.
