Why Is There a 3,000-Character Limit in the WebApp?
Overview
To ensure smooth performance and a better user experience, our app currently has a limit of 3,000 characters per text input. This applies to the text you scan, type, or paste into the app.
Why is there a limit?
The 3,000-character limit is in place to:
-
✅ Maintain fast processing and response times
-
✅ Reduce crashes or errors caused by large inputs
-
✅ Ensure compatibility with all device types
-
✅ Improve accuracy when exporting or using advanced features like text-to-speech or translation
What happens when you reach the limit?
Once you reach the 3,000-character maximum:
-
The app will stop recording additional text
-
You may receive a notification or warning
-
You will need to save, copy, or export your current content to continue
How to manage large texts:
If your scanned or typed text exceeds the limit:
-
Save or Export: Save your work as a Word, PDF, or TXT file.
-
Split the Text: Break your input into smaller chunks.
-
Copy and Paste: Move part of your text to another file or app to make room.
-
Delete Unnecessary Text: If appropriate, remove parts of the text to stay under the limit.
Is the text automatically deleted?
No. Your text is not deleted automatically. You are in control of saving, editing, or removing any content.
We’re working on improvements
We understand that some users may need to work with longer texts. We're exploring ways to increase this limit in future updates without compromising performance.
